Liz Filmore

(Los Angeles) WhatsUp@YogaForYouth.org

Liz Fillmore - (Los Angeles) Liz (Amrit Bani Kaur) is originally from Austin Texas and she finished her Kundalini teacher training at Yoga Yoga in 2003. Liz first met Krishna in 2002 at Solstice and was overwhelmed by the calling to teach young people the Kundalini technology. The following summer Liz completed he Yoga for Youth training at Mount Madonna and was ready to begin a program with youth in Austin only to find out that her life partner's job would be moving her to LA that fall. Liz connected with Krishna right away and was fortunate to be included in the prenatal training with Gurmukh that allowed her to teach with pregnant and parenting teen girls for several 12 week sessions. Liz has also taught several sessions with "at risk" elementary school children and is in love with their ability to access their inner warriors!

Liz is currently working full time as a Clinical Social Worker at Childrens Hospital LA and recognizes opportunities to teach in some small way every day! Liz is hoping to facilitate some research in the near future that will correlate yoga and meditation with reduced anxiety and increased lung function.
