COMING TO SUMMER SOLSTICE IN NEW MEXICO?

WORK FOR Y.O.G.A. FOR YOUTH AS YOUR KARMA YOGA!

The 3HO Foundations’ Summer Solstice Sadhana Celebration, held in the Jemez Mountains of northern New Mexico, attracts 2,000 yogis from all over the globe for a week of yoga, meditation, seva, and fellowship.  Each year, Y.O.G.A. for Youth runs a booth in the Bazaar Tent at Solstice — educating Solstice participants about the work of Y.O.G.A. for Youth and encouraging them to be a supporter of or participant in our vision to bring the tools of yoga and meditation to underserved youth.

It has been my honor to oversee the booth for several years now.  I love letting people know about the good work we are doing and our vision to serve more and more youth as the organization grows and expands.  People who are currently teaching youth are grateful to be able to purchase copies of the Y.O.G.A. for Youth teaching manual, and find out how they can be involved with Y.O.G.A. for Youth.

Our “Opportunity Drawing” has become a fun tradition and significant fundraiser.  Throughout the week, we sell tickets to the drawing held during the “Yogi Tea Cafe”.  The Kripalu Center has been consistently generous in donating a grand prize of a weekend retreat for two at the Center in Massachussetts.  We also thank the Kundalini Research Institute and 3HO for their grand prize donations of a Level II Kundalini Yoga Training and a free pass to Solstice, Women’s Camp, or the Khalsa Youth Camp!  Ticket holders also have the chance to win a Y.O.G.A. for Youth 40-hour Training course as well as other wonderful prizes donated by vendors in the Bazaar.

If you are attending Solstice, and would like to work at the Y.O.G.A. for Youth booth as your karma yoga, please contact Keval Kaur at keval@yogaforyouth.org or 919-225-3192 before June 14.

If you are attending Solstice, please stop by the booth and say hello!
