Yoga for Youth provides enjoyable and challenging experiences for our youth. The class structure flows according to the needs of each class and the emotional state of the youth on any given day. The basic format is as follows:

  • How Yoga works for today’s youth
  • History of Yoga
Learning to breathe properly
  • Breath controls the mind and emotions
  • Proper breathing leads to stress reduction
Simple Yoga Stretches and Postures
  • Stimulating nervous system
  • Enhancing circulation
  • Relieving Stress
  • Increasing flexibility
Deep relaxation and meditation
  • Guided deep relaxation to soothing music
  • Breath meditation to calm the mind

Class sessions include:
  • 0-15 min. discussion or games on Yoga Philosophy and the Practical application of Yoga in daily life
